TV Time

Canada, I’m so happy to be back!! I just finished filming a segment on Shaw TV with the hilarious comedian Patrick Maliha and the lovely host Fiona Forbes. All you Canadians can catch it at 10PM tonight. Vancouver-ites can also watch it then and at 12 midnight, 2AM – for those night owls – or 10AM tomorrow on Channel 4. Instagramers, I’ll be posting more pics.

Celebrity Artist's Makeup Tip[

I became friends with celebrity artist Marcus Monson! He’s as fun and personable as he appears in the media. Marcus showed me how to look like I’ve had a “three-week tropical vacay in just three seconds!” This is the sun-kissed glow my face got after using Guerlain Terracotta Spray. It’s makeup magic!

Once again, I LOVED all of your fantastic ideas about what should happen. I incorporated most of them into this installment. Many of you thought along the same lines. It’s true, great minds do think alike! I’m excited to hear how you want this to end for Plain Jane, the Sexcapader, and the Princess Bride!!!

Jet Setters, Listen Up!

I met the fantastic Kate Somerville. Since I’m on the road so much, she gave me terrific tips for skin care on the go, followed by a complimentary DermalQuench Oxygen treatment from one of her product specialists. Many of the stars get this airbrush facial before having their makeup done for big events like the Oscars. It nourishes the skin with a hyaluronic serum and vitamins and then applies oxygen for deep hydration, giving skin a radiant glow. You can get a similar effect at home by using Kate’s DermaQuench Liquid Lift. Now that I’ve had my treatment, guess I’m forced to do something mega fun tonight! If you’re jetting off soon, Kate’s Nourish Daily Moisturizer is perfect for wearing on a dry plane because it feels light, but moisturizes galore. Have a great time, all you traveling beauties!

Thank you so much for your amazing comments and emails! Your thoughtful analyses of what should happen in the characters’ lives are impressive. The producers I’ve worked with on this project are all men in their 30’s to 60’s. I respect them. They’ve had some mega-hits, but there is quite a difference between their concepts of what girls want and yours. As you will see in this video, I incorporated many of your suggestions.

International Affair

Here I am entering an after party. The Canada International Film Festival was truly international. I met a director whose crew is currently filming in Iran, several Los Angeles producers, and an actor who flew in from India. The festival screened his 221st film!

I really enjoyed reading your comments and emails about where you’d like Miss Sexcapader to meet her first fling. Your ideas were terrific. They inspired me in writing this section, but it was hard to decide who to follow. Many described the Sexcapader as a cool, beer-guzzling girl, who is into lust, not love. Others countered that she’d be up for romance. Some felt that she’d begin as a party girl and grow into a romantic. This is a fabulous solution because it combines all of your wonderful ideas and gives Miss Sexcapader an arc.

Barcelona won out as the location for her first star, but only by a little bit. Greece, France, Italy, Germany and Ireland were close behind…so in future excerpts, I’ll try to cover them. Thanks for all your help! It means a lot to me and makes a big difference.

Thank you so much for all of your input about which three girls from The Single Girl’s Guide to Meeting European Men you would like in a fictionalized story. I loved your comments and emails! Despite the fact that the producers all had different opinions, you came up with some really good suggestions that they hadn’t thought of. I especially appreciate that you included the reasons for your choices. This video is the first excerpt in the story. At the end of it is the next question. It has to do with which European locations to feature. That was another area of intense debate among the execs. I can’t wait to hear what you think!

Cabo

What I love most about traveling is meeting interesting people from different places. While I was in Cabo, I made friends who were not only from Mexico, but from America, Australia, Canada and Italy. Everyone was so friendly!

Producers haven’t been able to agree on certain aspects of a screenplay based on The Single Girl’s Guide to Meeting European Men, so I’m asking for your ideas and testing them in an online story!

Here’s the first question: Which three girls from Meeting European Men would you like featured?

If you look really closely at this video, you can still see the scar on my stomach from my “stunt work” on Tosh.0 as I was dragged out from under the bed. Oh Daniel, you’ve made it so that I’ll never forget you:)

For my St. Patrick’s Day celebration, I did the Harlem Shake through Cabo! Thanks a gazillion to the people at Dreams Resort, Billygan’s Beach Club, El Squid Roe, and Cabo Wabo for inviting me in.
