This blog began in 2010 as part of the publisher’s promotional materials for my travel book, The Single Girl’s Guide to Meeting European Men. The book rose to #1 on Amazon’s Best-Sellers List within two weeks of publication, and is still selling. The blog has been expanded to cover my other pursuits.

Three Travel Finds

April, 16, 2015

Are you in school and getting excited for a summer trip? Or, are you into your career and planning a business trip or vacation? If so, here are three travel finds for you to consider from Magellan’s. They have seriously useful and inventive travel gear.

Beauty Sleep…isn’t just for Sleeping Beauty:) When I cheered for Vanderbilt, we traveled for games, often squeezing four girls into one small room. We could count on a lot of commotion. One girl would be getting ready–flickering lights on and off–while others were trying to sleep. If you find yourself in a similar situation, consider this lightweight, cushioned mask specially molded to block out the world so you get critical REM sleep.

Travel Finds A

Stylish in the Sun…without being burned in sunny weather or cold when the clouds roll in. This protective wrap can tie in different ways to give you different looks, and can go from day to evening. It can even cover your head if you’re visiting a holy site.

Travel Finds B

Traveling in Peace. Unlike the last favorite, this item isn’t stylish but it’s high on the packing list of those prone to motion sickness. Trust me, there is nothing appealing about turning purple on a bumpy plane ride. Acupressure wristbands have saved me from that misery. They work without drugs or side effects. And Magellan’s BioBand is even adjustable.
