True Love’s Secret
Today, I’m sharing some advice for all of you navigating the road to lasting romance. And…let’s be real…true love isn’t always easy to find and maintain. These tips come from a couple who were happily married for about sixty years. They recently passed away, but for most of my life they were like grandparents to me. When the wife departed, her companion was so heartbroken that he joined her a week later. That’s true love.
When I asked them how they kept their love fresh, the wife admitted, “It didn’t come without effort.” And the husband explained, “Every day, we try to express at least one thing we’re grateful for that the other does. Sometimes couples assume that their companions know they love them, but the sentiment bears repeating.”
With Thanksgiving approaching, I thought this was the perfect advice. We should let our loved ones know that we are thankful for them not only on this holiday, but on every day.
