Memorial Day
May 25, 2015
…is a time to remember that achieving peace and preserving freedom is worth every valiant effort.
I managed to touch down in Honolulu among my business travel. Waikiki is a happy, international melting pot where vacationing sun-seekers form friendships on the sand. It’s hard to believe that 73 years ago, 2,400 American servicemen were killed here in a surprise attack by Japan that pulled them into World War II, the deadliest military conflict.
Today, Waikiki is thriving and the people from these two countries are close. To me, this is a testimony of what can happen with peace and freedom.
