This year, I’ve especially appreciated how much the holidays are a time to focus on family and friends—whether we’re celebrating Christmas, or have just celebrated Hanukkah, or any other event we hold dear. The friends with me in this picture are from my Vanderbilt years. Now they are all working in Chicago. We had a reunion at my book signing, and I was so happy to see them.
