Trot Out Your Old Clothes
January 10, 2014
As you know, it’s the Year of the Horse, so if your budget was blown over the holidays, you can trot out your old clothes and still be on the cutting edge of style. Seven years ago, I bought this shearling-like jacket. Last weekend, I saw something similar hot off the designer’s table. So I pulled mine out of the give-away pile and wore it with pride.
In the same outing, I spotted black leather-like pants, which were almost carbon copies of a pair I got three years ago. The only differences were that the current ones had a narrower leg and cost about five times more. So I continued my fashion-recycling binge and had the legs narrowed, for free, at Nordstrom.
