In my opinion, the most beautiful people are the uplifting ones. True beauty isn’t a set of genes, a certain brand of cosmetics, or having work done by the best plastic surgeon. It’s radiance that emanates from the soul.
I believe, as do many, that the visage of Ingrid Bergman was timelessly exquisite, but she was also radiant. This was obvious from her view of the world.
Bergman once claimed, “I was not beautiful. When I went to Hollywood the beauties were people like Joan Crawford, Hedy Lamarr, Loretta Young. They were incredibly glamorous. I was always the girl next door.”
